Summer is wildflower season here in Kansas City, and I am OBSESSED! Capturing Cam and Lauren’s summer engagement photos at the beautiful Shawnee Mission Park<\/a> and this private lake brought all the dreamy summer vibes. Cam and Lauren’s Summer Engagement Photos: A story in the making<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the best parts about being a photographer is the relationships that form with your clients over time! Lauren and I connected a few years ago when I took photos of her beautiful clothing boutique. Since then I’ve photographed her sister’s senior photos, Cam’s sister’s wedding (also Laurens bestie ;)), Laurens family and extended family….the list goes on! It’s such an honor to be a witness to so many important parts of Lauren and Cam’s lives. I feel like I’m officially part of the family! So of course when Cam and Lauren asked me to capture their summer engagement photos, I immediately said YES!! These two are a dream to work with, and this session could not have been more fun! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only did I get to capture Cam and Lauren’s dreamy summer engagement photos, I’ll also be capturing their destination wedding in Napa<\/a>! I’m so excited to see these two tie the knot among the stunning vineyards of northern California! Destination weddings have become so much more popular in recent years. I absolutely love seeing couples enjoy the intimate setting and escape from their normal routine with just a group friends and family. If you’re planning a destination wedding, having your engagement photos taken at a local spot is a great way to pay homage to your hometown. It’s truly the best of both worlds!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
