Did you know that embedding video into my follow-up emails as a photographer is one of my favorite secrets to booking more clients? As a photographer, it’s easy to feel lost in a sea of competition. With the thousands of other incredible photographers that couples have to choose from, why should they choose you<\/em>? If you want to stand out from your potential competition (yes, yes, I know – Community over Competition-I’m a huge believer in that, but hear me out!) you need to be utilizing personalized video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One thing I’ve learned over the years is the value of personal connection when booking clients. Sometimes the tiniest detail or extra special touch is all it takes to turn a potential lead into a booked client! What if you booked ONE more wedding with just this one simple tool? What if you stood out from the rest and booked TWO more weddings because of it? That is a WIN in my book. If there is a way for your future clients to connect with you instantly, video embedding is the way to do it.<\/p>\n\n\n

You might be cringing at the thought of creating a video to send to a potential client. But listen- clients really don’t care if your hair is perfectly styled or your makeup freshly done. They care about authenticity, connection, and that you took a little time to personally connect with them. So comb your hair, brush your teeth and maybe throw a little chapstick on those lips! Haha – It can be that simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know what you’re thinking…”But what in the world do I say!?!” That’s EXACTLY what I thought. I mean… you could <\/em>just send your perfectly scripted email from your already made workflow<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, attach your pricing guide, and go about your day. But this ONE extra little step? Could be the difference between being ghosted and booking that DREAM client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Start Embedding Video in Your Follow-Up Emails<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Embedding a video may sound like a long drawn out process, but it doesn’t have to be rocket science! First, make you have to make sure you are at a computer with a little privacy. Try to make sure your dogs aren’t barking and your kids are quiet. Not an option? Throw in some AirPods and go with it! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, make sure you’ve prepared a short but sweet message for the couple. Use a hobby or shared experience you might have in common if possible. If you connected on Instagram, comment on something they shared recently. The more personal the better!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, make sure you have the tech set up! Embedding video can be a little tricky, so make sure you know the ins and outs of how to correctly embed your video so that your potential client can easily click through and watch it!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
